Live Bacterial Strains
for
system
inoculation
In the past,
there has been tremendous difficulty establishing
biological filtration with many fish losses
and frustration resulting.
Research has
produced pure strains of nitrifying bacteria.
These bacterial inoculums provide tried and
proven strains of bacteria that will get your
system
off on the right foot, thus avoiding
establishment of unwanted inefficient bacterial
strains, which can adversely effect system
start-up.
These
are specific fresh environment bacterias and
have proven efficacy and should be
added when ever you are starting a new biological
filtration system.
Storage:
Up to 6 months
in a
refrigerator
How
to Apply:
Pour
directly over the biological filtration media
or if not, pour
into the tank or sump where good circulation
is available for mixing. For new tanks add 2-3
days prior to adding stock (always undertake
good fish management practices, adding stock
gradually in respect to the state of the development
of the bacteria
population , testing ammonia and nitrite
to ensure toxic levels are not reached, putting
the fish stock in danger.
Dosage
rates:
Standard
solutions: 100ml initial dose per 200
litres of water with follow up doses of 5ml
per 200 litres per week for 1 - 2 months.
Concentrate
solutions: 100ml initial dose per 2000
litres of water with follow up doses of 35ml
per 2000 litres per month for 1 - 2 months.
